What should I do if the landlord is just not fixing things?

There are men in my apartment fixing things, landlord gave me no prior notice?

• Okay so here's the situation: I live in NYC, with a 17 year old girl whose parents own the apartment (they live in a separate apartment downstairs). I've been in my bedroom all day doing work (no one else is home), and I heard people come in. There are 2 or 3 men in the other room fixing something or another, and I feel really uncomfortable -- I had no idea they were coming, and I need to leave my room to shower and eat soon and I really don't want to do that with them standing right there. What should I do??? Do I have the right to tell them to leave?

  No you don't. You are technically a guest and have no say. The owner told his daughter who failed to tell you. Say excuse me gentlemen and do what you must.
