History of Western France?

I want to buy a home in France but live in the US and no credit history in France?

My question is how do you buy a home in other countries if you have no credit history. One person mention that France looks at your salary, and family situation. Is this correct? It's a small town about 150 miles across the english river. Brittany is the name of the town.

People do it all the time, purchase a vacation home in another country. When my parents moved from the UK to the USA they were able to purchase a home. My cousin who resides in the UK purchased a condo in the US and sold it at closing to an interested buyer so it can be done.Chances are they do exactly that, check your finances and salary. My suggestion, contact a solicitor (realtor) in France and ask, I'm sure they will be happy to help you.
