Can I afford and apartment and is the apartment worth it ?

• I make about 2000 a month , I'm looking to move out in the next year and a half. The ideal apartment I'm looking at cost 1125 - $1335 (depending on what model apartment I get ) a month, includes heat,electric,water,central air, also has a balcony and dishwasher, side note/ (has a pool and fitness center on site, I don't know if i have to pay extra for them ) its located in a good neighborhood, shopping markets a block away. Is this a good price ? Can i afford it with my income ? is It worth it ? what type of price of rent can I afford with my income ? can I afford moving out on this income ?

  As a Rental Property owner, I always consider that a prospective tenant should make 2.5-3 times the amount of rent I will charge them. You need probably to set your sights a little lower if you want to move out. $650-800 a month may be your limit and that is not taking into account any other debts you may have.
