What to do after submitting application?

What are some things I should be worried about when submitting an application for a townhouse?

  • The rental price is $900 a month. I just recently graduated from colledge and started a really good job which makes my income enough to support that rental price. I heard somewhere that your income must be 4 times the ammount, and with me and my fiance we just barely miss thew $3600 a month mark. Since we both have credit cards that we used during colledge, I'm not sure how our credit score is. What should I be concerned with? What is going to make us denied? (niether of us has ever ben arrested)

  • Answer:

Each rental property has its own criteria. Do you have a certain property in mind? If so, talk to that landlord and ask him or her. I have never heard where your income needs to be four times the amount of rent, that seems very high. Most places require income to be two and a half times the rent amount, hopefully you were told wrong. The apartment complex I manage denies sex offenders, evictions and criminals which is a very common thing. Credit is usually checked, too, but not with the place I manage. Congratulations on the graduation and getting a great job!! Ignore what Martina said. She's cranky, probably because she graduated from college and is working at McDonald's.
