Which cosmetology school is best in Dallas?

Please help me decided. I am considering Cosmetology School for one year, OR.. See Below?

  • I am considering either going to Cosmetology School for one year.. OR.. taking a real estate course and working this around a day job. Which would be a better option and why/why not? Cosmetology sounds good. The school is 20 grand. The smells of hair and nail polish can get to you and can cause potential health problems and I do have asthma. But.. the money is good and it can be still done temporarily. Real Estate Agent will take six months to a year to see your first sale.. but will blow Cosmetology pay and tips monthly away. But... I can't afford to rely just on Real Estate. I am not in that financial or second income position to do so. I would think being an agent can be worked in and around another day job for example. Then there is Sat and Sun. I am available any and all times. Although.. sometimes safety comes to mind. I am just not sure if Cosmetology would be a wise investment or not in addition to real estate agent on the side? With tips Cosmetologists can make 20-30.00 an hour easy plus product sales, when you count in a base wage of some type. That is more then I can make at any other job out there. However.. then there are loans to re pay plus interest. Once I started to sell homes I would be okay. But.. its until then that I need to make money.. although.. I would be losing money in one respect having to attend school for a year before making money and Real Estate agent training is not very expensive or long. Please Help. Thanks

Try other cosmetology schools. I'm sure there's others that are not so costly. Or you can get student loans. Apply for grants.

If you plan to succeed as a good agent, then you won't be able to work "around another day job". A good agent is available pretty much 24/7 for their good clients. My agent will show houses from 10am-3pm to one client then go to a closing at 4pm and then show another house at 6pm then get some docs signed at 8pm. I worked with one agent who had real estate as a hobby. Her schedule was always too busy to help me, so I fired her. If a new hot listing pops up and a client wants a walkthrough immediately, saying you have to work your other job isn't going to cut it. The agent I fired missed several investment opportunities for me because she was too busy. $20k is a TON of money to put into something as a temporary career. Maybe you should look into a certificate job, like phlebotomist, LVN, or CNA, to be your part time job. You could work out a schedule where you work late night or early morning hours - hours where you wouldn't be showing houses or doing closings. An 8-midnight shift at a nursing home could be a goldmine for you. You'd interact with a ton of people dealing with putting houses up on the market because mom went into the home. Added: It looks like you've asked a version of this question THREE times now just in the last few minutes. Stick with cosmetology. Real Estate doesn't tend to work out well for people who don't have attention to detail, who are impatient, and who can't follow the rules (it's against the Y!A rules to post the same question over and over).
