We have a home that was owned by 3 siblings. two siblings deeded the house to the 3rd sibling.?
-
the 3rd sibling tried to get a home improvement loan and a lien was found on the home against one of the deeding siblings. the sibling with the lien will not pay. what can be done?
-
Answer:
nothing really. a lien means there's already a judgment against that person, so taking them to court again would be pointless. technically the house should not have been able to be re-deeded (aka sold) after a lien was placed on it. the house should have been sold by the bank once they noticed the lien during the re-deeding process, then the lien paid off. maybe you could break his kneecaps
