Should i take out Parent PLUS loan?

What type of loan can you take at age 16 without parent cosigner to pay for college classes (I need $400)?

• I've been looking for a job for 2 months, but can't get any! My payment for winter term college classes is Jan 14th, and I'm $400 short! I'm under 18, so can't take any loans or anything, and I'm still enrolled in high school (and high school won't pay for college classes) but I am taking classes outside of school for college credit on my own, and I used to have a personal assistant unofficial job so I earned some money for summer and fall term, but I don't have the job anymore since the employer moved, and I don't have enough money for winter term! I wish I could borrow or take loans, but I'm under 18, and most of my friends don't have this money, or if they do they wouldn't give it to me because they're all teens and this is big money for them. If I was to get some sort of full time (yes, I said full time) job for the next week, I'd take it without hesitation, but there aren't any! Tomorrow I will go to baskin robbins and a chocolate cafe, they seem to have openings as I saw from craigslist, but I wont be able to make $400 by Jan 14th anyway, even if I work full time, I'll only make about 300 or so! I'm 16. What should I do? Parents won't pay. By the way, I can't apply for financial aid since I'm still in high school.

  You cannot get a loan until you're 18. Because until you are 18 you cannot even be legally bound by a contract. If your local town has an online classifieds, place ads stating that you can babysit, dog sit, clean houses, etc. Usually you can make more doing that than you could working for minimum wage anyways. If you are still unable to obtain the money, see if you can work out some sort of deal with a family member. (For example, see if your parents will decide to pay, if you promise to make payments to them over the course of the next 2-4 months.) Good luck, I hope you can come up with the money!
