How can I get a job at 17. help?

  • How can i get a job? Teenager? Hello, I am 17, and looking for a job before this year ends, before I start college. I have a lot of plans this summer and no money to make them happen! I've applied to over 50 places in the last 3 years, have never gotten an interview, or anything. I have never had work experience, but I have done over 40 hours of volunteer work. I am very responsible, but I just can not seem to get a job. Any tips? Also, after I apply online or turn in an application should I ask to speak to the manager? everytime i try to call a manager on the phone, they always say they are not hiring, even when the store says they are. What should I wear when applying for a job/interview? Where are some good places I can apply that will easily hire? What are things I can practice saying, as of how to talk to a potential boss? Sometimes my words get frozen when confronted in a situation like that. Help Please? Thanks!
