Can I Use Credit card just like the Debit card?

  • I am planning to order to an online food delivery. They accept credit cards (Visa, Master Card). When I checked out my order, They asked for a Credit card #, 4 Last Card Verification Etc. that is also available in my Debit Visa Card. Can I use my Debit card instead? (because it also has a Visa Link) It's okay if the cost will be deducted to my account. Can I also swipe my Debit card into the one where I swipe Credit cards?

    Yes, you can. But your debit card is not protected from purchases that are made fraudulently against you. Credit card companies will limit your liability if someone gets your credit card number and uses it without your permission. Debit cards do not have that protection. If someone uses your debit card number, you are out the money taken.

you can but u usally have to let them know. Because debit card fees are lower, stores may prefer that customers use debit cards rather than credit cards. Cashiers may ask whether you'd like to run the card as "credit or debt" because they're required to select one of those two options from the register's computer screen to complete a purchase.
