Where can I find a debt consolidation loan?

Is there anyone that will give me a debt consolidation loan if I don't own a house and me credit score is low?

  • I am $36,000 in debt, currently make about $970 a month in payments and have never missed a payment. Can't find anyplace that will give me a consolidation loan because my debt-to-income ration is too high and me credit score is low because of the high balances. Any suggestions? I have tried prosper.com with no luck.....

    You may find someone that will give you a loan - they will probably charge more than normal because of your current score. If you have a relationship with a financial institution, try the bank manager there first, explain your situation - they (Bank Manager) sometimes have some pull with their credit departments. If they will not consolidate all the loans, then try consolidating the ones with the highest rates, then balances. You then use the 'extra' money to pay off the highest rate smaller balance first, and so on. I'm available if you would like more guidance - you can contact me. Good luck.
