Does ebay lower your credit score?

Open A Bank Account in Person(With Bad Credit)?

I have a credit score of 505, & I still owe some money. I'm in need of some extra money so I was thinking of selling A Xbox 360 on Ebay & when the Buyer pays for the item through PayPal I would ask PayPal to Mail me the payment in a check & I would take that check to a bank & deposit it into a new checking account taking only what I need to ship the item to the Buyer from Ebay. I've tried to open an account online but I guess because of my credit score & still having some debts to pay off they don't want to take a chance on me, If I go in person will I have a better shot at opening A Checking account?

unless you are in the check system if you take cash/check id and your ss number to a bank they will let you open up an account!!!
