Paypal problems, help?

Please help with paypal problems?

  • I see a lot of questions on this same subject, but none which answer mine, so here goes another question! The dates for paypal to put my "earnings" in from selling, went in and they duly - horribly - took money from me to pay themselves. Then just yesterday, I see that the money been: referral; this is ALL the 4 buyers payments! Then today, I have that paypal were unable to charge my account this amount of money and to contact them to find out - but I CAN'T! I sent an email and promptly got one back saying that I needed to phone, so I did, but ALWAYS engaged! The only number I am able to get through, is one in France and my comprehension is not sufficient enough to understand fully and anyway, despite the helper being there, he could not hear me, so I had to put the phone down! When I looked up this problem, I see that referral is also called: cashback. Then find out that it is related to the buyer taking their money, but all 4 of them?! I would so appreciate some guidance on this. Apparently I am owed rather a lot, but it is stuck and I have tons of things for sale and possible buyers! What on earth do I do?

  • Answer:

If they are different buyers, then it sounds like a problem with the way your Paypal account is set up, or with EBay itself (if that is the site through which you are selling your items). If the same buyer purchased all four items, then it sounds like it could be a fraudulent buyer. I'm not sure where exactly to direct you, but the online Paypal Help Center may help: https://www.paypal.com/helpcenter/main.jsp;jsessionid=8Tr8MdvJvvqChr7sk2tvT2TvFxy9lStBGtwfQPLgkDrQ8hJ20HL9!1277630524?locale=en_US&_dyncharset=UTF-8&countrycode=US&cmd=_help&serverInstance=9016&t=solutionTab&ft=browseTab&ps=solutionPanels&solutionId=162644&isSrch=Yes There is a link to an automated service rep at the bottom of the screen, so you might try clicking on that and describing your problem. Or, you could click the "Contact Us" link and just send them an email. They should be able to see what is stopping the payments from hitting your account, if the buyer is indeed making those payments. Hope that helps at least a little - so sorry you're having to deal with this. I'll star your question in case anyone else in my contacts has more information that may help you. EDIT: It looks like Paypal has a fully localized office in France. Your best bet may be to simply go ahead and email them, but use Google Translate http://translate.google.com/# so you can communicate with them in French. It's not perfect, but you should be able to get your point across and understand theirs that way. Otherwise, is there someone trustworthy there that may be able to translate for you over the phone (like a sister in one of the French congregations there)?

One thing you have to be aware of is fake notices. When I was on E bay I had many hackers send me notice for money and it looked just like a real E bay and PayPal notice but if you click on this it gives them access to your account. There was also a notice saying the 5,000 for the tractor was now available in my PayPal account, problem was I never posted a tractor for sale. Do not call the number on these email notices unless it is exactly the same as the number in the original E bay or PayPal postings. When I contacted E Bay they have a fraud department where they had me forward all the questionable email and come to find out all of these were frauds. They look just like real Ebay and PayPal notices but clicking on the links takes you to their sites and not to the Ebay site. The hackers trouble comes when they do not have the resources Ebay has and they can not keep up with calls and processing. After my experience I set up with both Ebay and PayPal that all notice would come from a phone call. This cleared up and they asked me to send all email requests to them so they could catch the hackers.I had at least 16 from please update your status or information to items on E bay for sale but not from me just under my account. Be careful do not click on links or boxes that claim to connect you to Ebay or PayPal make sure you go directly to the site. Your customers have paid you, small fee should be deductedd and you should be able to get your money. Do not trust anythingdifferentnt then what you originally agreed to when you signed up.
