How do i buy something on Ebay with my paypal account without entering credit card info?

Ok so i want to buy something on ebay, and after i log in with my paypal account, it asks me to enter my credit card info. I have my bank account linked to my paypal account but i have not transferred any funds over yet, because i was told that when you buy something with paypal, it will automatically transfer the funds for you. So is there a way to bypass putting in a credit card, or is it simply that i have to transfer the funds myself, and then purchase the item? If i transfer the funds myself, will it mean that it wont ask me for a credit card anymore and i can pay with my bank card? By the way, i dont want to go out and buy a prepaid debit card. its much more convenient for me to use my bank account.

What you have to do is go to Paypal and click on transfer funds from bank account, then enter the amount you want to transfer over, it take 6-8 business days for the money to process unfortunately, this is what i do and it is a pain having to wait for the money to get into your paypal account.
