Transferred money to a closed bank account from paypal?

• I had 142.52 in my paypal account and transferred it to my bank or ireland account on the 1st of february 11 but i transferred it to the wrong bank account which i closed the same week as i had opened a halifax current account and was using that. I closed the bank or ireland account on the 3rd of febuary 11. It was my fault i should have transferred it to my halifax account instead i made a huge mistake. Any way the money landed into my bank or ireland account on the 4th of february 11 and i went into ask could they just give it back to me now in a cheque the teller replied no it does not work like that and as the account it closed the money will just bounce back to paypal with in 3 to 5 working days. The days had passed and i rang the bank again on the 14th and got another teller she checked on it for me and said yes the money is still here come in to the bank tomorrow morning and we will give you a bankers cheque that you can lodge into your bank i thought happy days so much for they could not give me the money because the account was closed and it did not work like that. Untill i went into the bank the following day and was then told the money had gone and she could not give it me to. I asked where it was she said paypal must have clamimed it back and it would be back with them with in 3 to 5 working days. I contacted paypal this morning to ask if they had it and was told by them that the money should not have went into the bank account in the 1st place as it was closed this is the bank or irelands fault and the money would have bounced back to them in 5 days. They told me to make sure i asked them if the money was claimed back by paypal or had the money just gone but the bank could not give me a straight answer. Paypal then informed me that if the money does not arrive back with them by end of working day the 23rd then i would have to go in and ask for a headed letter to say the bank account was closed and send it on to them and then they could put a trace on it to see where it is and this could take months. Is there any way i can get my money back quicker as i have oil to buy i am a single parent. Thank you all in advance for your answers!!

  their rules are their rules. if they say it will take ages to accomplish then it will take ages to accomplish. I guess you could say since you made the mistake you should be humble and accept it. If you need money perhaps you could get a loan from parents or cash advance on your salary from your employer or live tight until this can be solved.
