Is it possible to get your ebay items shipped to a different address (country)?

  • I am going to United of states summer time. I am always buying great stuff on ebay and usa ebay has better deals, however i dont buy much from there because of the taxes. I am going to New York summer time and instead of doing high street shopping, i am looking to buy things on USA Ebay then have them shipped to whatever room i will be renting in NY. But because my info on ebay is registered to my London address, i am wondering if selllers would ship these items to my NY address. I have around 60 feedbacks on ebay and i have been there for years, my feedback is 100% and i am a reliable buyer. Do you guys think that i can buy these items in the usa ebay while im there and have sellers shipping it to my room there?

    Tell the seller where you want the item delivered before you bid, and you will get a reply if that is possible or not. Many sellers have automatic billing which will include international postage, and if they know it is being mailed to US they will charge you local postage instead. I live in Ireland and buy stuff regularly from Australian Ebay, to send as Christmas and birthday presents to my grandson there. I pay by paypal, and have had no problems so far. I find it much more cost effective than posting the same gift from Ireland. The only query I would have is if the owner of the room would hold on to mail packages until you arrive there. Of course, you could bypass this problem by only purchasing your items at a time when they will be delivered during your stay there.

Generally, no. It is an extremely well known scam == hack some-ones PP account, use that to pay, ask the seller to ship to the fraudsters address .. This is so well known that PP will REVERSE THE CHARGE without question leaving the seller holding the loss ... So only a REALLY TRUSTING SELLER would be foolish enough to ship to a non-verified PP address ..

"poste Restante" is called "general Delivery" in the USA. There are also shipping/forwarding services which could help. even on ebay itself. And ebay drop-off locations businesses also exist. I've seen them both in London and Manchester, Try searching NYC for one.
