How to get unsecured loan of $4000 in Singapore?

  • I've been trying to get a loan in Singapore to make up the capital for a small business i'm planning to start. I'm short of about $6k. Most of the financial institutions providing such loans require a minimum gross salary of $1600 which i merely miss! Anyone has other good alternatives? But definitely NO loansharks, pls.. Thanks..

    To be frank, any other than legal unsecured loan from financial institute will cost you much more interest, which could even higher than loansharks. You should be aware in "market", there are so call "Study Loan", "buy things by instalment and get cash", "sign mobile line to get cash", and etc.... You should try to avoid all those crap. S$4000 is not a big amount, why not just borrow from your friends or relative?

The below example is just for illustration: Just get two popular laptop model of maybe $2500 value. 2 x $2500 HP laptop = $5000. Post them online at eBay or Y! Auctions for $2000 each, stating it's a brand new set. You will get buyers who pick up the bargain. You will get $4000 cash in a few days. (ps, you will have to change the values accordingly) You may try popular mobilephone models too.
