• This is about my friend's cousin that made a paypal account with his mom's credit card as a joke. One day, his account got hacked by someone, and the hacker spent about $600 with it. Then his mom found out that he has a paypal account when she received the bill, and he got in a HUGE trouble. Then, they had to go to the resolution center and claim that he didn't spend the $600. The money was refunded, and the problem was solved. And now he has to close the paypal account. However, as the account got hacked, the account got limited, but he can't remove the limitation because it involves stuff that only adults can do, like the social security number and a copy of the American ID card. How do you close a limited paypal account, when you can't remove the limitation?

  there is no way to close limited paypal account unless you lift the limitation. In order to close it, stop using the account for 1 year and it will be considered as abandoned property and the account will be closed for long time inactivity.
