Can you make a payment with paypal even if the money isnt on paypal?

I have the money in my bank account but i need to make a payment and i dont have all the money in my paypal account yet. can i make the payment and paypal will charge my bank account?

Answer:
Assuming your bank account is not linked directly to your paypal yet it will ask where you want to draw the money from. If you give your bank card details or then it will come from your bank account.
