How to quit my internship?

Graduate Student will have to quit job in order to complete unpaid internship for education degree. See Below?

• How will I financially afford my life? I was told I would have to quit my job to complete my masters degree in school counseling because to be licensed I need to work an unpaid internship. Well I live in an expensive city. Nothing is under 1,150-2,000 dollars rent or morgatge wise. 1) Mortgage: 2,000 dollars 2) Living expenses and utilities monthy: 800 How can I quit my job to complete my degree? I earn 36,000 after tax cuts. I am barely making it as it is. My parents do live in the area and I can move back in with them, but then society will look down on me and exclude me (especially at 27). What should I do?

  recheck the amount of the loans that you can take out. was the 20K determined when you were working? it could be assessed now. Who are you worried that will look down on you for moving home? you won't be working for pay and you're putting yourself though Grad school! that is not exactly mooching off mom and dad. if you were banking half a million a year and still sleeping in the barney sheet from preschool then i would say it is time to move on but that is not the case. There are people older then you are that moving back in with mom and dad, with their tail between their legs after losing homes and jobs. this would be on your own terms. set some ground rules with the parents, like chipping in for food and some rent money. you have to look at the big picture, you need to step away from your paid position to do this internship. you want finish this degree to advance yourself in the future. you have to look at the long term.
