I would say no, but, you can get a prepaid credit card. it is like a gift card but it can be used anywhere.

Wow your determined! Halifax and HSBC both do cash cards from 11 years plus I'm sure other places do as well, but if as you say your in Southern Ireland you may need to ask at your local bank

In the United States, unfortunately, no. You can get them an ATM card in their name (subject to the bank you choose) but according to law, the Debit Card has a VISA or MC logo which means all transactions are subject to a contract between the bank and VISA or MC. Therefore the bank would be responsible for all charges because they couldn't hold a contract against a minor. Hope this helps...

In the U.S. you must be 18 yo to enter into a credit card contract. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

yes you can hsbc co a solo card for younger customers. u carnt use them in every shop but most and every link card point will take them

you can get a card in her name on your card, might be better with on of the "pre paid cards" at least you still have control of money spent
