My friend and I are trying to start up a youth socer league and we were hoping to get sponsors for the jerseys and league itself. What is the best way to get a company, brand, store to sponsor you?

You would either have to Register with the Government as a Tax Exempt nonprofit thus companies would sponsor your team as a tax write off. Or you get another nonprofit to solicit for you. Try the Local Rotary, a Church and even the Police Dept PAL. Some towns the parents form a nonprofit organization called a Sports Booster and they receive tax exempt status and solicit businesses and other organizations to sponsor you.
