Ok I want to purchase something off of ebay and i want to make a paypal account but, i'm confused? Please Help?

Ok, So i want to bet on this thing on ebay but, i want to make a paypal account if i use my debit card does it cost anything to buy stuff from ebay thru paypal? Does it charge my debit card for paypal charges, Does paypal have charges??? Please help me.

Answer:
I use paypal to purchase things from E-bay, and some other online suppliers, and they have never charged me for using their services. I think if you wanted to sell on e-bay and recieve funds in via paypal then you would be charged, but straight up debit or credit card payments they don't charge you for, just facilitate for extra internet security.
