How can I save money instead of spending it?

How can I keep myself from spending money so I can save up for a car?

  • im 17 and just graduated from high school, I just started my first job and plan to save for a car so I can go to college next year but I have a shoe fetish and I cant help myslef from buying new clothes and shoes what can I do to prevent this?

    You should look into getting a savings account that charges you some ridiculas ccharge to debit from it. Then put a chunk of your paycheck in it every week. The huge fees should keep you from using unless it's an emergency.

be thrifty. by this i mean find the cheapest thing you like and buy that. also decide if u need it first. If you dont have a set amount that you put away each pay check. watch what you spend bring a set amount of money to the mall with you when you do go and dont bring anything more just save ur money and dont loo
