How to prepare for ASSET?

Asset Management Interview?

  • I have an interview in a couple days for an asset management internship this summer. I was wondering if you know how I should prepare for this (what financial news should i focus on)? Also, what is different about institutional vs. personal (wealthy investors ) asset management and what kind of person is a better fit for each?

  • Answer:

Well in the states you may want to focus on the overall current weakness in the economy. By contrast, you could also mention your interest in international funds for their growth potential. An institutional investor is an investor, such as a bank, insurance company, retirement fund, hedge fund, or mutual fund, that is financially sophisticated and makes large investments, Individuals will over $1 million in net worth or over $200K per year earnings can also be considered institutional investors. A wealthy investor may need somethings that is tailored more for their specific needs, age, and investment objectives.
