Who thinks Yahoo should bow-down to Microsofts reasonable offer?

Do you think Yahoo should give in without a fight to the takeover bid submitted by Microsoft or do you think that Microsoft will be able to sway the stockholders to swing Yahoo over to their side? Lets face it, if Microsoft hadn't submitted the high bid for Yahoo, Yahoo's stock prices would now be in the toilot, and because of the hostile takeover bid, Yahoo's stock prices have gotten an added boost, but is this only temporary or long term? Serious answers please Thanks

Answer:
I hope not. I like the chance to use something that isn't Microsoft. Things like Yahoo Answers and Flikr would change forever, probably for the worse. I believe that since Microsoft has lost the inability to innovate, they just swallow up companies that do, including companies like Yahoo. I think for the good of consumer choice, Yahoo should not accept Microsoft's offer.

I think yahoo should let microsoft buy them.
I think Yahoo is really good already. I mean, come on! How many more things and sites does Bill Gates already own? Enough already!

I really think it depends whether it will be temporary or long term. I believe the Yahoo stock prices will be high until Microsoft no longer wants to buy them. I do think Yahoo should let Microsoft buy them, because they got a pretty good offer.

I believe that Yahoo should not let Microsoft buy them, not just for Yahoo's sake but for Microsoft's sake too. Microsoft is already having anti-trust issues with the EU due to it's complete monopoly (yes, Microsoft is a monopoly but on legal terms). If they decide to buy Yahoo, this will only aggravate the EU more and possibly the US too. Capitalism is about everyone playing on an even field. However, if Microsoft do buy Yahoo, it would benefit Microsoft and place them head to head with Internet giant Google. Google will be teaming with Microsoft's arch-nemesis Apple Inc, to create a cloud computer which would dominate the computing market (more info can be found below). If Microsoft buy Yahoo, they too can set on such endeavour. If the takeover happens, it will be a disaster. Microsoft will not be able to capitalize on Yahoo's strengths.

Just by Microsoft acquiring Yahoo, does not mean that Yahoo's culture would be ruined. It does depend on how it is executed, and the quality of staff. I bought stock in companies like Overture, that were later bought by Yahoo. So, I do own Yahoo stock. I do not own Microsoft stock. Does anyone remember when Yahoo let you post messages at the end of news articles? Well, Yahoo decided to shut that down instead of cultivating it. (so, now, you have competitor Digg) Remember, Yahoo auctions? Remember, how the renovation project for its search advertising was far behind schedule? Anyone impressed by the Yahoo press about how they were going to make things better? I hate to say it, but, perhaps, its time for someone else to make the decisions instead of who we have now at the head of Yahoo. Google has the majority of search advertising traffic. Considering Google's privacy polices, I would really have more options for where folks want to search. So, given current consolidation environment, I would suggest that Yahoo does get acquired by Microsoft.
