Is Secret Cash Blueprint 2.0 a scam?

Is Cash for Gold really a scam?

  • Ok, I hear so many people talking about how much of a rip off Cash for Gold is, and I understand how anyone can jump to that conclusion. But think for a moment of how much somebody’s UNWANTED gold is worth just sitting in a dresser somewhere. I mean, if you have some gold chains that you bought back in the early 80s that you haven’t worn in over a decade, why is leaving them in your drawer worth more than cashing them in for a quick $20? No, you won’t be getting the full value of the gold, but you would be getting more than you would if it was still sitting in your drawer. I think the key word is “unwanted”, because I cashed in about 40 of my old PS2 and PS3 games that cost me about $700 - $800 during a span of about 15 years, but I think the $145 I got in the trade off was a good deal cause I wasn’t playing any of those games anymore and they were just collecting dust. Just curious to know what people think about this.

  • Answer:

Cash for Gold isn't really a scam, but you won't ever get the true value. The same goes for your PS3 games, you can probably get 15%-20% more than what they will pay you at GameStop. This is why when you trade in a game for $15, they will sell it for $20-$25. This is because it will cost them some form of money to complete the transaction. The same for gold. Because you probably don't have a full ounce of gold ($900+ now), they will give you a price less than what your gold is worth. This is because they will take your gold and melt it with others. They will then form an ounce and sell it at market. It all comes down to accessibility. Since you probably don't have time to market the gold, they expect you to sell it at a loss. Not a scam, but not worth it in my opinion. Gold is finite and therefore its value will continue to go up.

There have been accounts of people getting about 18 cents for something worth around $400 or $500. It's a scam. Don't do it.

Try going to local pawn shops and gold trade in places first. Get some comparisons. Then try to figure out how much you would get from Cash for Gold. Do some comparison shopping to get the most for your gold.

Well, you could probably get a better deal selling the jewelry yourself. I think its a scam in that they are screwing you on what you could get out of it, however I agree with your analogy to the unused video games. However, cash4gold makes you think you get a better price for it then you do, so they are in essence trying to rip you off, whereas gamestop or whatever doesn't make any claims about getting 500 bucks for unused video games.

I heard that you sometimes get 20 cents for something worth a lot more

Just because I dont use something often or at all doesnt mean I've suddenly become dumb to how much its worth. I'd get more from a pawn shop.

nope just like a garage sale... you should expect alot less...

I totally agree because that is well thought out . Usually people do not think their decisions out thoroughly before buying schemes and scams or their expectations are usually unrealistically high.

I have no way of knowing if all the stories about Cash4Gold are true, or if the 300+ Better Business Bureau complaints are valid, but I do know that it is important to do research before selling your gold or silver. I would suggest checking out the Silver and Gold Exchange before sending your gold or silver anywhere or selling locally. They have a live price chart right on their website at http://SilverAndGoldExchange.com and they pay more than anyone else I have found.

It's a scheme, not a scam. Once they have your gold, they can set the price; it is as a result that you will get even less thru them than a pawnshop.
