Have you ever attended a Rich Dad Poor Dad Workshop?

  • I have finished reading Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and have been interested in more of what he has to say. Has anyone attended one of his free or not free workshops? What did you think - Was it worth the money? A scam? A chance to sell you something more? Did you learn anything? Have you tried any of his techniques with success?

    Sales pitches, indeed. It takes money to put on these "free" seminars. The money coming in proves there's a sucker born every minute. Any true method to become financially successful would be demonstrable, and hold up to scrutiny. Instead we've seen this self-proclaimed expert peddle his board game for $200 a pop, push multi-level marketing scams and allude to the "Rich Dad" as never having existed at all, like Harry Potter. Investing expert John T. Reed put out a scathing critique at http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html and in a reply Kiyosaki couldn't refute Reed's central criticisms. Be very wary of someone's real money is coming in through book sales, "seminars", peddled crap and not through what is in the book.

The seminars are just sales pitches to get you to buy his courses. These seminars are not held by Kiyosaki, he just lends his name to them, and they can do what they like. Avoiding them is your best decision.

I attended one of his workshop and It was another chance to sell something more ( Three day Workshop) for $200… I didn't pay $200 because they were urging all of us to pay $200 for the workshop , they insisted and insisted . To me personally that is a sign of a scam because when they just wanted to sell you workshops and books in reality you don't learn a lot. You should go just to see and form your own opinion. But let me just say that they want to sell you a Workshop for $200.
