How to find the value of a stock?

I have stock certificates from back in the 20s. How do I find out if they have any value?

  • The companies are: First National Petroleum Corporation and American Toll Bridge Company How would I begin to research this?

    If you want to know what the companies are worth now the first thing to try is Google. If that doesnt work check with the state commerce department where the companies were incorporated. They can tell you what happened to the companies. If you want to know what the certificates are worth check some of the sites in the link below.

You have to check with the Amex, they are the best resource Try www.amex.com or you can also check with NASDAQ

open an account with a broker(you need someone to sell them if they have value).their reorg dept should be able to help you....
