How long does it take to get the phone back from insurance?

I lost my phone and claimed insurance on it. I found it now what?

  • I called the insurance company and they just kept informing me that I dont get my deductable back. I already understood that. I told them I would send the phone that they sent me back. They said they want the original back. They said it was locked and cant be used. I informed them I was calling them from the supposed"locked Phone' but they said I couldnt be. So I called the phone carrier to let them know what was going on they checked both phones and they are both active and not locked. I did legitimately lose my phone and am trying to do the right thing but the insurance company will not take their phone back. The carrier told me I dont have to. What do I do? Im not trying to put one over on the insurance company.

  • Answer:

I would get the phone carrier involved, even if they don't want to do so. They should know the difficulty with attempting to correct a situation in which you are trying to do the right thing. The vendor they bring in to do the insurance seems to be pretty bad. I can't believe the stupidity of some people, they should simply take their phone back. However, you should read your contract to confirm the correct course of action.
