What is CA unemployment?

In CA. What is emergency unemployment compensation? My benefits ran out.?

  • Is this the extension for the regular Unemplyment Insurance? i got a notice that said I do not qualify for the emergency unemployment compensation. its say not qualify for 40 times or 1.5 quartly earning. I was working 20hrs part-time for 9 months. Should I appeal it? My benefit just ended so the extension would be really helpful.

    Emergency unemployment is what gets paid when you FIRST get unemployed, not when your benefits run out.
