We are both on unemployment and no more insurance?

In CA. My unemployment Insurance ended. Dont qualify for emergency unemployment, help me appeal.?

  • is the emergency unemployment the same as the regular unemployment extension? I got the UI for about 3-4months. now its used up, how do i get an extension? I got a letter saying that I didnt qualify for the emergency unemployment compensation because: -i do not have earning 40times my weekly pay -or 1.5 times the highest quarterly I worked for about 7 months, 25hr part-time. what can i do so i can receive an extension?

    No, emergency unemployment is what you FIRST get, when you FIRST file the claim. You have to be RECENTLY laid off, to qualify. You'll have to call the office, but you probably aren't going to receive any extension.

unemployment payout is based on previous years work---if you have used all the funds you generated from your previous work--then you are not eligible for more unemployment. how about finding a job? so you are saying there are no jobs in california. a little hard to believe. just get a job and quit whining. go flip burgers or something like that--no one WANTS to work a crappy job, but if that's all you can get--then you take it. it's called being a responsible adult

The rules for extensions and emergency unemployment are set by the Congress of the United States of America in Washington, DC. It takes an "act of Congress" to change them. That is usually a figure of speech, but in this case it is literally true.

You cant because you have used up all the benefits you earned. You did not work long enough. Most retail stores and food service businesses are hiring. Or you can move to another state.
