What is a balanced annuity?

What is the difference between Life, health and variable annuity and Life, accident and health license?

  • I have a Life and variable annuity license but I applied for a company and they said I needed a life, accident and health license (LAH). I've looked on Florida's site and that license is not listed. What is the difference I wanted to add health to my license and a school said they are the same???? I'm confused... Can anyone help clear this out for me, I really want that job.

  • Answer:

Each state licenses things differently. It sounds like the recruiter calling you, isn't familiar with the names Florida uses for their licensing.

You should be okay. When you have your license they don't always list all of the types of insurance that you can sell. I have that license in CA and it's Life, Health and Disability. It includes Accident and Long Term Care. You can call Florida and ask.about the license or email them. Life, Health and disability license is all on one license and that is through the Dept. of Insurance. To get a variable annuity license you need the above license and get a Series 6 (mutual funds) and 63. Good luck with the new job!
