Can I be on my parent's health insurance?

    Since you are under the age of 26 you should be able to be on your parents plan as long as you do not have access to a plan from your employer. Don't listen to idiot's like Lee, this is supposed to be a forum for people that need help to be able to ask for advice not to get scolded by someone who has no idea what your situation is. On another note, just because you can stay on your parents health insurance doesn't mean that is the most cost effective solution. Assuming you are healthy you should find out how much is costs to be on your parents plan and shop the market for individual plans for yourself to see the difference in cost for a comparable plan. If you need advice as to where to compare individual plans I would suggest the following. You can go onto www.ehealthinsurance.com or if you want to speak with an agent you can go to www.nahu.org and search for a health insurance professional in your area.

Provided your own job does not offer you a health insurance plan - yes. If your parents have a family plan health insurance, they can cover you on it. I was able to put my son back on my family plan this year and save $200 a month that an individual policy was costing. If you were a full time student, you would have been able to be covered in the past, but now you don't have to be.

Note, if your parents *can* add you to the health plan, they will be required to pay any additional insurance premiums. Not all parents are willing to do that.
