You do not apply separately for each job. You apply for you, the human being. The state, not you, decides which employers should be involved. It is too late now to apply based on work done in 2007 to 2009. You might have been able to apply for unemployment from that work if you had applied earlier. It is too late now. You cannot apply in person in New York State. You have to apply using some type of electronic device, such as a computer or a telephone. You call the state on the phone or go to the state's website. They ask a bunch of questions; you answer the questions. Then they send you something in the mail telling you if you were approved.

Temp work doesn't count, and neither does seasonal work. They look at what you've earned in the past year, and for you, that's going to be, well, just about nothing. You're probably not going to qualify.
