How can genetic endowment go wrong?

Can I still get compensation for a Shortfall on my recently matured Endowment Mortgage Policy?

• My Endowment Policy taken out in 1988 ended recently but there was a quite a shortfall of a a few thousand pounds against the original borrowed capital. I wrote to he mortgage shop that sold me the policy back in 2006 but they wrote back basically saying that they were not liable. How do I go about following up getting the compensation that ia available for mis-sold policies to help cover my shortfall. Many thanks in advance for help, please. Cheers.

  it's the lender you need to contact and whoever you had the mortgage insurance policy with Our mortgage was taken out in 1986 and paid by Feb 2011, and we are still in the middle of getting the shortfall compensated for a mis sold policy in 1986 don't give up ,even try The Independant Financial Authority (IFA) who will tell you how to go about it make sure you have all your original documents, that's what we had to send to prove what we were claiming
