Marketing Ideas for a newly licensed Insurance Agent?

Marketing and Network Advice Please?

I am an insurance agent and I was just wondering if anyone else with an insurance backround or sales backround has any marketing or networking ideas for bringing in new clients. Thank you !!!

Try "Associations". Our Agency is big on association business. We find an association: ie: restaurants, Motel/hotel, Tavern league...etc and sign up as associate member. We then are eligible for the state convention's etc. We have a booth at these conventions and obtain Membership lists. We contact the association about bringing a special "product" that can benefit the association members. IE: dental, Health, Property casualty. etc. You have to have something to offer. many times the companies will work out a program specifically for you association. Like a special dividend for members.. or a discount for members. It takes some leg work but you will hit a home run once you get up to bat!
