What does this notice mean "SNI: extension not received from the client", in stunnel log?

How long can I collect Unemployment insurance and Federal extension benefits in California?

  • I was laid off on October 15, 2008 and was eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits. I collected my benefits, 1st Federal extension and just started my 2nd Federal extension the end of September 2009. I mailed my claim form for the period ending 10/24/09. I received a Notice of Unemployment Insurance Award from EDD on 10/27/09 (dated 10/21/2009) regarding a new claim starting 10/11/09 - 10/10/10 and that I was eligible to receive benefits. I did not file for a new claim. Then I received another EDD letter on 10/28/09 (dated 10/16/09) regarding Additional Instructions requesting pay stubs from the period worked after 10/12/08. I am completed confused. I mailed the information EDD requested. Do I qualify for new claim or will I still received my Federal extension instead?

  • Answer:

I would be confused too. Why would they ask for pay stubs beginning 10/12/08 when you were laid off 10/15/08? I think that is what they are trying to figure out. Either way, I would'nt worry about it. Just send the information that they are asking for. How long you can collect? That's a good question. I think the maximum is 79 weeks total ? I really don't know.
