How can I got to the doctor with no job or insurance?
-
I graduated from college 2 years ago, and have had no luck with finding a job. I am living with a family member who has no expendable cash. My teeth are going bad. I'm having problems with my feet. And now I think I've got an eye infection. I have no way to pay a doctor, but I need to see one. What can I do?

Answer:
If you’re under age 26 you may be able to stay covered under a parent’s plan. The trouble, however, is that you may have to wait for an open enrollment period. Check with your parents (and their employer’s HR department) to learn more. Otherwise, if you’re really strapped for money you’re going to have to look into free or sliding-scale clinics, or else government-sponsored health insurance options. To learn more about those, contact your state department of insurance or the non-profit Foundation for Health Coverage Education at www.coverageforall.org. Best of luck.

You'll have to do it the same way as you get food -- by having someone else pay for it. For medical care that will be welfare. You'll need to apply today because it can take several months to get approval. Also, be aware that welfare doesn't pay for dental in most states. Here are the links to the Medicaid departments in all of the states and territories - many will allow online applications: http://yourhealthplanadvisor.com/Medicaid.html

You don't need a job or insurance to see a doctor. You may need some cash however. This great country has so many welfare programs available for low to no income (and even to the cheaters that play off the system) people so there isn't an excuse as to why you can't see a doctor. There may be free clinics in your area. Google it-pick up the phone call and find out.

Dude, going to the doctor or dentist isn't your primary concern - finding a way to eat food, and keep a roof over your head, THAT is the problem. I'd strongly suggest that since you can't "find a job", you try MAKING a job. Unfortunately, this will usually involve "work". Some easy ways to find work, are painting houses, raking leaves, mowing lawns, detailing cars, walking pets, etc.
