Please Guide Me in Choosing Profession?

Want to work as an Insurance adjuster but need some one to guide me in the profession.please advise.?

  Working as an insurance adjuster is not a job for every one. You will have more work than you have hours to do it. You'll work your fanny off to help your insureds and claimants and the only thing you will get in return are complaints. I do it because I find insurance interesting. I like helping people - even if they don't say thanks for doing it. And I do get to meet some interesting people that I would not have met otherwise. It's a mentally challenging job and just when you think you've seen everything - something will pop up you have never seen before. Not all insurance companies are the same to work for. If you get on with one of the bad ones - suck it up. Work there for 1 -2 years- learn everything you can and then try to get on with one of the good companies. Once you get working in the industry - you'll figure out who the good and bad ones are. The larger companies usually have the most turn over. So I'd start by applying with them. Most companies require a 4 year college degree. They don't care what the degree is in but you have to have it. Some companies will make an exception if you have experience in a related field (such as a former body shop manager can be hired to be a material damage appraiser). Each state has its own licensing requirements. But the company that hires you will take care of getting you licensed. As an adjuster you will never be rich. But you will make enough money to support yourself and your family. I'd just start sending out resumes to all the insurance companies in your area. You can contact the insurance agent at your company and find out if they know if your company is hiring and who to speak to regarding. Good Luck.
