How far back does the "Insurance Index database system" keep records from ? 10? 15? 20 years?
-
When insurance companies want to find out if a person ever made a claim of personal injury or filed a personal injury law suite they use the 'Insurance Index database system" which is a National database of claim records. How far back does this database keep records from? 10, 15, 20 or more years?

Answer:
For property/casualty claims, I've seen it go back 10 years; for medical, 15. But these days, storage is cheap - I'm not sure they'd EVER delete old date, after all, that's their BUSINESS, keeping data!!
