Is there a general guide for webs.com?

How much is general liability insurance for guide/outfitters?

  • I'm curious how much the minimum requirement of $300,000 coverage for general liablity insurance for guides/outfitters cost monthly or yearly. Thanks

  • Answer:

At a minimum figure on $2,000 to $2,500 annually. But that price will vary significantly on the number of trips that you outfit or guide, the number of people that go on the trips you arrange, the type of trips you arrange (wilderness or urban), the location of the trips (domestic or international). And likely a $300,000. limit of liability is going to be useless as most vendors that you will be dealing with will require $1,000,000 or more. But that is not the end of it. You probably want to include professional liability, accident medical for customers and you may need workers compensation. This is not a do it yourself project you need some professional advice. Contact an agent that deals with specialty line carriers because this type of insurance is not handled by you "brand name" insurers.
