We are both on unemployment and no more insurance?

If you I am approved for Unemployment Insurance,and get enrolled in an approved school course by Unemployment?

• if the Unemployment Insurance accepts my claim,and I get accepted into an approved course of study that exempts me from a work search,and then my company offers me my old job back,do I have to accept it,or can I just stay in school and get paid Unemployment until I complete the program?

  I would think your old employer would contact the UI and tell them that you refused a valid offer for work........and since they were the ones that had to approve your UI benefits from your layoff, that they will tell UI about the refusal to work. Very interesting question................the schooling was to retrain you so that you could get a new job, you have not started school yet I take it, you simply got approved and accepted. You will have to go talk to someone in workforce office of the UI about this, to handle it correctly and not get in trouble with UI. Your old employer could give you your old job back, or a lower houred version of it, or slowly strangle your hours,get the real advise from the UI Office. If you go back to the old employer and they cut the hours, if you qualify you can get a partial grant from UI, unless the employer pays you above the allowed rate.........
