Dental insurance help?

If I started a plan with Western Dental already then get dental insurance would it help out?

  • I started a plan with Western Dental when I got my cavities filled and have been paying $120 a month for it (no thanks to my Mom) because I have no insurance. Now that I got a promotion at my job I can get some dental insurance. Would getting dental insurance at this time help take out a chunk of my current bill with Western Dental? If not, should I still get dental insurance since I will be needing braces? (Defiantly won't be going back with WD though.)

  • Answer:

no. it will not cover any service done prior to getting the coverage. most plans do not cover braces. check with your benefit rep or h r department.
