Contract help for a co-worker?

• Hey guys I know you might be sick of my many questions lol but I have one to ask you well my co-worker needs some help on this one Well see, she’s the grocery manager and just last month her contract was up for a one year term and now when she asked her current employer what should we do renew my contract or post the job and his response was “Keep working” Now after that she phoned the Canadian Labour Board and they told her that she wasn't’t even supposed to be working or nor getting any deductions off her pay if her contract was up So she wants to know and we looked it up no info but if she writes a letter to the board of directors stating that fulfilled her contract for one year, and is wanting to know if she’s entitled to some sort of leave…

  Her contract would specify if she is entitled to some type of severance upon termination of the contract. She needs to read her contract. What the employer is obligated to do will be there in "black and white".
