How to use American Express gift card?

How can I use my American express gift card online?

  • I tried to use it through PayPal and it wouldn't work. Does this need to be activated or something? Is there any way to use it online? I entered all my information correctly in PayPal but it told me to try another card. I just bought this, it has $25 on it. Also, does there exist something like a 'PayPal' gift card?

    Your card has already been activated, the cashier does that after they ring it up. I used a vanilla visa to acces paypal. You could always take your american express to the store and purchase the vanilla visa if it keeps giving you trouble.

you cant with amez gift cards. you can only with other gift cards where you can access teh accoutn online. once you add the card, you must view your statement online adn look for the expanded use number and then enter it online at paypal.
