How much is a prepaid credit card at kmart?

Someone may of used a stollen credit card today at my work!? HELP. Work at Kmart?

• Hey everyone. I work at kmart as a cashier. Today it was super busy so I was asked to open a register. The first lady I got, her card was denied. So she asked her friend to cover her. 3 credit cards were denied and 1 finally went through. After they left, the next lady asked why I didnt ask for ID with those women, thinking it could of been stoen credit cards or fake. As a cashier, I should of asked for ID. However, I did not and the transaction is done. Can I personally get into trouble for that if the card is stolen or fake? I know at my store if its fake money, I can get into trouble if I accept it, but I wont be fired over it because I didnt steal the money or anything. So what happens with credit cards? Anyone work at a Kmart or Sears or another retail that could help me out? I talked to Loss Prevention and he told me to relax and its over and done with and we will see what happens tomorrow as they count the money and do the transactions and such.

  you've spoken with security after the fact and now you should ask your immediate superior exactly what you should have done and don't repeat your mistakes. some people have overexended their credit limits due to the economy, so it may not have been a stolen plate.
