Can I use my charter one debit card as a credit card?

  • I was told that you can use a debit card as a credit card so long as it has a credit company logo on it. My card has a Visa logo on it, does this mean I can use it as a credit card? Would I end up being mailed a bill? I know that with a debit card the money is taken directly from my checking account, but if I used it as a credit card what would happen exactly? Would it affect my credit score?

    It emans they take it wherever they take Visa. Your card will ALWAYS only work up to the amount you have in yoru account, and the money will ALWAYS be directly debited. You will never be allowed to go over, and you will never be sent a bill.

No, you use it at places that accept VISA credit cards. When you use it, the amount you use the card for comes right out of the account the card is linked to. You may press the credit button instead of the debit button which sometimes (not always) has the effect of delaying the transaction, but it will still be processed as a debit, not a credit transaction.
