Can you deposit into a checking account from a prepaid debit card?

In todays society could you live without a credit or debit card? Many people do!?

• While society thinks that every single American has a credit or even a debit card is wrong. A few of my friends can't get checking accounts because they are on checksystems. These friends cash their checks at a check cashing store and pay their utility billy by mailing a money order. They pay their cell phone bill in the store using cash. Another one of my friends who has $15,00o in credit card debt and an overdrawn checking account is almost on checksystems. Many people believe that we live in a plastic society without cash. I myself have a checking account in good standing and 2 credti cards that I don't owe any money on. Many banks if you use a Visa debit card for a purchase and don't have enough funds in your checking account to make a purchase you will have overdraft fees and could even be put on checksystems if you don't pay the bank back. You can buy airline tickets at the airport ticket counter or through a travel agent with cash. Some airlines even have a Western Union option to buy your ticket online and pay Western Union with cash. There are some hotels that will let you rent a room without a credit ro debit card and leave a cash deposit on check in. Some rental car companies will even allow you to rent a car with a cash deposit and show a phone bill. While so many people love paying for purchases with credit cards or even debit cards think of it as a privalage and not a right.

  Anybody who is getting their financial advice from Dave Ramsey needs a reality check. It's amazing how many people are willing to blindly drink his kool-aid. It's gonna be real funny when they RamseyBots have to get a mortgage or finance a car. The substantial added cost of an underwriter will come as a real shock to them. How about the added security debit/credit cards offer over cash. If you get mugged on the street, a quick phone call can cancel your cards and you can get back any money that was fraudulently charged to your account. Some robber takes your cash and you will NEVER see it again. How about the rewards you can get with credit cards. Lots of people get several hundred dollars worth in rewards and never pay a cent of interest on their cards. Anyone with a lick of financial sense would be better off using debit/credit. The benefits are both long and short term. People like Dave Ramsey are nothing but fear mongers praying on the ignorance of the general populace.
