Can I buy things online?

If you get someone a visa gift card, can they buy things online with it?

  • I wanna get something with my birthday money but its online and my money is cash.. so if i go get a visa gift card, like just a general card, can i buy online with it? please acurate info ^_^

    It depends but fraud has become so rampant with these cards more and more sites are saying "no way". Pay mom or dad the cash and ask them to order ti with their charge card for you.

99% of the time, NO, you will NOT be able to use a Visa or MC gift card because they cannot be verified by the merchant.

The problem with prepaid and gifts and debits are holds if your order is $50 and you have a $50 card the hold will take the $50 and unless it is release by the time your order is ready to ship which 99% of the time it is not the card will be rejected for the sale. You need 2 times the purchase amount. Also most online site do not accept prepaid or gift cards at all
