How do I apply for a Key Card?

How old do you have to be to apply for a prepaid card like a Walmart Money Card?

• Im 18 years and younger and Im wondering how old do I have to be to apply for a Walmart Money Card. I don't have a real credit card yet at my age. & can I use a Walmart money card to connect to my paypal ? So that I can just use the card to put money in my paypal & just reload it.

  Do you mean like a WalMart gift card? You can get those at any age, but people look at you weird whenever you use them regardless of age. No, you cannot connect that to your PayPal. You have to have a credit card, debit card, or bank account linked directly for PayPal to accept it. Things like WalMart cards will simply not work because they lack the required information of these other cards. Go to your local bank with all your information (birth certificate, social security card, driver's licence, etc.) and apply for a a debit card. You will have a considerably low max-out and will have high rates, but it's a start to building real credit. Also make sure you can't over-draft with it since that's what gets people in trouble. Surely anything you need at this age isn't needed enough to kill yourself later in life.
